ZZ Top are there too.

For an 80's Rock fan the lineup is looking pretty good.

Not really my scene although there are a few bands I'd still be interested in seeing. If I go to any proper festival this year it will probably be Bloodstock though.

Hopefully they'll adjust their layout to avoid a 2.5 mile walk to the stage from the camping area this year.

Looks like it's turned into "Monsters of Rock" again. I'm not sure whether this was intentional or because they couldn't get any decent contemporary headliners. I'd be interested in seeing ZZ Top again, as I last saw them at Donington in 1985. The rest of the big names are like a who's who of ageing hair metallers, so on balance I won't be going this year. I'm much more likely to go to Sonisphere at Knebworth.

Sonisphere is looking quite tempting.. Metallica, Mastodon, Machine Head and possibly Nine Inch Nails. Alice in Chains might be interesting, although without Layne would be odd.

FNM. Saw them a few times in early '90s. Cardiff Uni, Bristol Hippo, Brixton Academy with L7 (guy had his throat slashed in the bogs!).

THE best live band I've ever seen!

Is Download being held somewhere else this year? I'd imagine it would be hard to hold it at Donington with all those diggers around?

No, still at Donington. I expect the urine from 100,000 drunken fans helps to soften the ground!
