Have only seen them once, at Aeromsith's 'Toxic Twins Towers Ball' Wembley Stadium 1999. When the band came on stage the Welsh fans in the crowd raised their Welsh flags and the volley of bottles thrown at them in response was spectacular. Back then yer man Kelly's voice was novelly distinct but now it grates a little.

Have to agree with you about Kelly's attitude.
Still, those early albums are fantastic and, like the first Arctic Monkeys album, the isn't a bad track on there.

I'll agree with the Arctic Monkeys comment. I've never bothered to buy any of their subsequent material.
I've now gone for a change of pace and put Stevie Wonder - Innervisions on the Hi-fi.
There's an album without a bad track!

I would have agreed with you on the attitude thing until I met him, I was on the same flight to the US a few years back, really good bunch of blokesStill, those early albums are fantastic and, like the first Arctic Monkeys album, the isn't a bad track on there.

Keep racism out of music. Keep it on the terraces at Twickenham where it belongs.ratbane said:

Keep it on the terraces at Twickenham where it belongs.I couldn't agree more - they never bettered Words Gets Around and Performance And Cocktails and from that point forward their stuff was never quite as good. Almost a parallel with Oasis really; Definitely Maybe and Morning Glory; amazing, I thought Be Here Now was really good too actually but since then the same as the Sterephonics; never quite there.
I saw the Stereophonics at the O2 in December, they did a "best of" tour, and it was very good. Not amaizng, but very good. Not quite the same without Stuart the drummer. Nice to see them do thousand trees, local boy etc.
Completely by luck, in my new found singleness, I'm going to see Oasish and Stereotonics at my local music venue on Saturday; can't wait, really looking forward to it!!!

poor mans Ash, simple as.
They put on a much better show than Ash.Saw 'phonics at V last year and they were amazing. blew me away. I'd listened to them before then, but now I listen to them all the time.
Ash i saw couple years back at Reading, while dam good, it didn't make me want to go out and buy all their albums like phonics did.
