Bass guitar purchase: something cheap and easy

Hi there,
After playing the drums for 9 years, and the guitar for 3, I've got an urge to pick up the bass guitar. Thing is, I'm not sure which one to get. It would just be for practice/mucking about, no gigging. I'll be using one of those StealthPlug Guitar/Bass USB interfaces for an amp.

Never seen one of them,

If you spend a little more, the Peavey Milllenium is the best under £200 bass I've ever played, or a Squire precision, Yamaha rbx170 & Ibanez GSR 180 basses all about £135 ish.

Hop onto Ebay and have a look at the cheap Warwick basses.
