Knebworth ready to rock again
Discussion
Acording to the Times online, Knebworth is ready to rock again and this year will see a revival of the legendary 1970s rock festivals at the Hertfordshire stately home. Metallica, the American heavy metal band, which has sold more than 100 million records worldwide, will headline Sonisphere at six European venues in 2009, with the tour set to be expanded into the Far East and Australasia next year. The only other act confirmed to appear this year is Linkin Park, the American nu-metal band, but the organisers are promising a “broad church” of around a dozen rock groups. Others rumoured to be in the frame for a slot include Guns N' Roses, Iron Maiden, Muse, the Foo Fighters and the Stereophonics.

Sounds interesting, but can't really see Iron Maiden, Foo Fighters or Muse playing down the bill from Metallica! All four of those bands would qualify as headliners in their own right.Gassing Station | Music | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
