If you love music then look here - Recommend unknown music
Discussion
Right i'll keep this short.
I love music and it depresses me that theres so much music out there that i've not discovered yet. I'm off to Hospital next week for an op and want to top my generic MP3 playing device up to aid my healing/boredom in hospital.
I thought if we all recommend a song by posting a link to it on Youtube then people may discover new stuff.
I'm into just about everything but all i'd say is don't post things like killers or the Beatles etc as obviously most people know about them lol.
I'll start heres a band i recently discovered and can't get enough of their album.

Toumani Diabaté, Tapha Niang
Taken from a PS3 game, i guess the sound guys must listen to a lot
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ScnxAkpbnc
They also used this, Jim Noir, My Patch, which is "that song they used on that advert"
I really wonder how they find stuff like this, the entire soundtrack for example is made up of new mostly unknown people with styles you've never heard.

I can only find a link of a live performance on youtube, which really doesn't do it justice as the recording equipment was rubbish.
The band is called F*cked Up (with a u rather than a *) and the track is 'Son the Father' from the album 'The Chemistry of Common Life'. Excellent album with very varied musical styles.

Recommending music to people you've never met is....well, a stupid idea. I don't know how old you are, your upbringing, you're cultural background, whether you have 'soul', if your mum & dad were into Hendrix, Dylan or M-people for that matter!
Beleive me, I've worked in the music industry for 20 years, I've Dj'd at over 300 weddings, I've made chart singles, worked for a very successfull record company & DJ'd a drive time show on local radio. I grew up listening to urban 80's black music, street soul & hip-hop, my sister was into Punk, rockabilly, ska & 60's soul, talk about diverse, these days kids have no choice at all!
I would only ever suggest a tune to someone once I know a bit about them. I love 80's Hip Hop, Boogie, disco, soul, rare groove, funk, fusion, jazz, American house, 'Britpop', pop, and many other styles of music.
My favourite song happens to be 'Easy' by Dino Tyrell, it's a Leroy Burgess Production and an 80's boogie classic. I don't suppose anyones on here has ever heard of it but I love it and that is all that matters!
The only thing I'd recommend is that you have an open mind & listen to as much, diverse music as possible.

LORDBENNY......
Why do you suppose anyone here hasn't heard it, I have, so has my other half, and we both don't like it. Should there be a link between liking nice cars / motorsport and all things motoring and this particular music. It sounds you are putting youself above all others!

Well thats a lovely welcome, I thought forums were for open and fair discussion. Would you like to justify your last remarks, or are we not allowed opinions on here. I asked you earlier to explain a comment, and this is all you can manage. Have I joined a group of verbally abusive low lifes, or are there any true petrol heads out there?
