So which song is it that never fails to send
a shiver down your spine / makes the hairs on your neck stand on end / takes your breath away?

Many of Kate Bush's have the spine tingling effect on me.

"..and Dream of Sheep", "Night of the Swallow", "Hello Earth", "Moving", "In the Warm Room", "Breathing", "Moments of Pleasure" especially.

yep me too

also:

The stone roses - I wanna be adored
Pink Floyd - time (mainly because it makes me feel guilty for missing out on far too much)
Paul Weller - Brand new start (as generally performed live, studio version is nowhere near as good)

I've always had a huge soft spot for the first 30 seconds of Down To The Waterline by Dire Straits. Fantastic atmosphere and contrast.
