I am going to have a spending spree on i-tunes tonight, with the idea to create a great i-pod Air Guitar playlist for my holiday. Any suggestions?

Download (completely) all of the following albums:

Guns N Roses: Greatest Hits
Led Zeppelin 4
Who's Next (The Who)
Mothership (Led Zeppelin)
Best of T. Rex
Complete Clapton (Eric Clapton): Ok, long album so maybe not completely download it all, but if you don't buy Layla (7 minute Derek & the Dominoes version not 4 minute Clapto jazzy acoustic one), Cocaine, Wonderful Tonight etc etc
Experience Hendrix: Best of Jimi Hendrix Experience
The Who Live At Leeds
The Song Remains the Same (Led Zeppelin live album)
Dark Side of the Moon (Pink Floyd)
Quadrophenia (The Who)

Plus the following songs:

Fleetwood Mac: The Chain (I know it's air-bass rather than electric guitar, but who can resist grinning like a loon on a twisty B road when the bass solo (the "formula one music" as I knew it for 15 years) kicks in.
Golden Earring: Radar Love
Queen: Don't Stop Me Now, We Will Rock You, We Are The Champions, Bohemian Rhapsody
Led Zeppelin: Immigrant Song, Ramble On, Kashmir, Stairway to Heaven (on LZ4), Whole Lotta Love, Trampled Under Foot, No Quarter (listen to it in bad weather, preferably fog, at night, gives a kind of eerie mood but excellent)
and basically their entire list of songs on iTunes (go for the Complete Led Zeppelin, pricey but amazing!)
The Who: again, just download their entire catalogue, you will not be disappointed!
Stevie Wonder: Supersitcious
Steppenwolf: Born to Be Wild
George Thorogood & the Destroyers; Bad to the Bone
Plenty of Aerosmith
Alice Cooper: Schools Out, Poison (definitely download Poison, it's amazing)
Rolling Stones; Gimme Shelter, Paint It Black, (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction, Brown Sugar, Start Me Up

It would probably be easier for me to send you my entire iTunes library!

No problem. Make sure also you download Guns N Roses: Live Era, which is sort of a compilation of their best songs played live. This is proper GnR though, when Slash was the guitarist. Also, there's a song by Slash and Roger Daltrey called No More Mr Nice Guy which I recommend.

Any more just ask,

Dan

All of the above, but get some white stripes on there aswell. Catch hell blues, blue orchid, seven nation army, slowly turning in to you, black math, ball and biscuit. I don't know if there is an album of them live under blackpool tower, but if there is, get it.

Also, Clapton sweet home chicago, you can get some air piano and air organ in there as well!

I am loving that idea!

I've not got the Brera for much longer, so my fingers are crossed for a foggy early morning!

It sounds even better if you have the live version from Madison Square Garden 1973 (The concert on "The Song Remains The Same" film), Jimmy Page uses some amazing effects on it.

In addition to all listed before;

Michael Schenker Group - Doctor Doctor
(Former UFO Guitarist IIRC?) Amazing version of the song!

Rolling Stones - Aint too proud to beg
Probably one of the most played song on my iTunes!

Metallica - Most of their song will do the trick! Master of the Puppets and Seek & Destroy are pretty mental to say the least.

Whitesnake - Here I go Again
Come on.. It's a classic! biggrin

Warrant - Sweet Cherry Pie
Glam metal of the highest degree, but it never fails to bring a smile to this old face!

Aerosmith - Walk this Way
If this isn't already in your iTunes library then shame on you! That goes for you all! laugh

Bullet for my Valentine - Hearts burst into Fire/ Waking the Demon
"Scream, Aim, Fire" is the next album on my shopping list!

Foo Fighters - The Pretender/ All my Life
Pedal to the metal!
