" The band's eponymous debut album, Wishbone Ash, was released in 1970. One year later, the group released Pilgrimage. The band struck gold in 1972 with Argus, their commercial peak.[citation needed] The album was voted by the readers of Sounds magazine as the"best rock album of the year". Also "Top British Album" (Melody Maker magazine). "Argus" has become one of the all time "Classic Rock Albums" The band were getting international acclaim for their live performances as they gained popularity around the world.[2]"
I've seen them many times, and have always liked them. They always had a problem with the vocals being weak IMHO. That could be why they never really hit the dizzy heights.
