Seems to be a few music bods on here so I though I would ask.

I've had an Ibanez Tube Screamer TS9 for about 15 years now. I got it secondhand with a guitar and some other nik-naks.

Been looking online and it seems it is not a re-issue.

It has a silver label without the CE mark. Serial number is 404550. Been googling and it seems it is a 1984 model.

Its unboxed and the paintwork has some chips. Its obviously 'previously enjoyed'! Fully working though.

Had a look on ebay and there are only the re-issues on there.

I'm kind of interested in knowing whether its worth anything...

ETA: I've just whipped it open. Definatly an original, it has the green dipped resisters.

Don't know off hand, except that it's less than that of a TS808.

Sorry.

Thats just it, I can't seem to find any for sale at all! They're all re-issues.

There is a TS808 on ebay with a buy now of £500, in slightly worse condition than mine.

I know a guy that bought one couple of years back for about £100.

My bet is somewhere in the 150-200 USD range, tops.

808s are classics, and valuable as such, the TS-9 range never achieve the same degree of mystery and thus value.
