Bit late getting started on this one (and if its already been started i appologise) but what a great idea.

Just now its Rage against the machine playing in full. Yesterday was the Stone Roses, tomorrow is Pink FLoyd - Dark side of the Moon and Thur is The Prodigy - Music for the Jilted Generation.

You can't beat listening to an album like this the whole way through. music

edit - sorry for the spelling mistakes...

Masterpieces is a great idea for a radio programme and this is the third "series" of it. Previous highlights have been Led Zeppelin 4, Nevermind by Nirvana, OK Computer by Radiohead & It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back by Public Enemy. Rage Against The Machine was a fantastic choice last night as it is a phenomenally powerful piece of work and truly ground breaking. There is also the slightly childish thrill of hearing quite blatant and frequent swearing going out on Radio 1!! A cue for the Daily Mail to continue with it's crusade against the BBC and all free thinking!!
Looking forward to Dark Side Of The Moon and The Prodigy this week.

If you go to the Radio 1 website there is also a listen again feature on the DJ's homepage.

RATM was absolutely brilliant, I cant stop listening to it now!!! Meaningful lyrics based on the state of their country when this was released, with the LA Riots and everything. Not their best album though.

Listened to Pink Floyd last night. I have to say, I never really cared for them much (yes I know...but it was before my time), but I was impressed. Going out to buy the back catalogue now.

Cannot wait for Prodigy tonight as I'm going to see them in London on Friday!
