Do I want to see them again for a whopping 45 plus service charges? Dunno, seen them twice now.
Starting to get fed up of these ridiculous ticket prices now TBH.
Is £45 really that expensive for Metallica + Machine Head + The Sword?Starting to get fed up of these ridiculous ticket prices now TBH.
Compared to a typical West End show, or a ticket to see Madonna, Rolling Stones, Streisand, etc., I'd say it was pretty good value.

Feeling like an old codger now, but if I recall correctly when I saw them in 1986 (Èdinburgh Playhouse) tickets were only £5 Couple of years later it was about £8 at the same venue. Another couple of years (1990?) I saw them at Glasgow SECC. Don't recall the ticket price, but I didn't enjoy that one so much. That was mainly due to the venue rather than the band, metal & concrete shed completely lacking in atmosphere...
Agreed I wouldn't pay £50 to see them play in an arena, but I'd pay double that to see them play in a small venue again

Thats so right, I remember the days of Hammersmith Odeon at about 10 quid-ish, much much better venue and atmosphere, also the hundred club before Donington 87, very cheap and awesome. I wouldnt bother now, 50 quid is taking the piss and who wants to see any band in an aircraft hanger. Every arena gig I have been to has been rubbish and that includes the good ones! I saw Linkin Park at the O2 and it was a good gig but still not a patch on the small venues. Agreed I wouldn't pay £50 to see them play in an arena, but I'd pay double that to see them play in a small venue again
There were loads of complaints from Metclub members yesterday as Ticketmaster **cked it up again. It was specifically stated that there was a 4 ticket per gig limit, but when they went on sale yesterday Ticketmaster was only allowing 2 to be ordered. This prompted a mass of complaints on the Metclub forum, resulting in one of the club administrators getting onto Ticketmaster to fix it (which they did). However, the end result for us is that to get the tickets we wanted, we're being stung for 6 postage fees instead of 3 (an extra £15). So, they **ck up, and as a result make more money. This, on top of the "convenience charge" just makes me hate Ticketmaster even more.

Metallcia don;t really excite me anymore TBH - I know that they are past their best in live terms
Having said that I might snout around for a tickt clsoer to the time.

well i'm fked off.
online for 9 am this morning and on the 'phone, pre-booking password at the ready that Ticketmaster ahd emailed to me.
have got tickets? have I fk.
wnakers
try again tomorrow.
The problem is that first there was fan-club presale (Tue), then O2 customer presale (Wed), then Ticketmaster customer presale (Thu), then finally general release (Fri). How many good tickets are likely to be available by the time general release begins? Still, good luck for tomorrow.online for 9 am this morning and on the 'phone, pre-booking password at the ready that Ticketmaster ahd emailed to me.
