Did anybody else go?
We were standing right at the front of the stage, great view, great venue, and they played a blinder.
As well as songs from the new album, they played classics such as Wonderwall, Whatever, & Champagne supernova.
It shows after all these years they can still pull it out of the bag.
Quality.

Same here mate. My voice was almost totally gone on Saturday morning.
I thought Twisted Wheel were quite good too - especially the drummer??

After all these years?

They aren't exactly coming out of retirement!

It's funny, but all the reviews say that they were crap.

Nope, certainly not coming out of retirement. You didnt quite understand my post.
For a band to have been around 14 or so years and still be able to fill a venue like wembley and get the crowd going like that, is quite an achievement.
By contrast, I switched the TV on saturday morning and Sugarbabes were singing live....bad karaoke doesnt do it justice!

Hopefully should be getting some tickets for their next Manchester gig.

I hear The Enemy and Kasabian are supporting. Seeing as though they're two of my favourite bands and I'd go out of my way to see either, should be awesome. Saw Oasis back in 2002 when they were supported by Richard Ashcroft at Old Trafford cricket ground. Amazing gig, the third best I've been to after Led Zeppelin in London and Ash in Newcastle.

The tickets for those gigs go on sale this Friday, I'll be trying for them too!
I should imagine they will 'steal' a lot of people from Glastonbury.
I was at the gig at the Cricket Ground too!! Also saw them when they were supported by The Verve in 99 (I think).

I went to the gig at the NIA in Birmingham and they were fantastic. Missed Wonderwall because the catering staff were useless when I was trying to get a beer or 5. But the gig was brilliant. Liam and Noel are utter legends.

Was there on Thursday night - really did enjoy the gig.

Unfortunately got fked over with tickets; bought from ebay (standing), after lots of messing around and a story i won't bore you with - got sent seated tickets on the day of the concert. Not happy about that

But nevertheless, really enjoyed. Was the 8th time I've seen Oasis, and you can bet your bottom dollar I'll be on the phone on Friday morning (and internet biggrin)

Sorry to hear that mate. I bought my 2 standing tickets off ebay and was lucky enough that they were genuine.
As for this friday, I'll have a team of 15 or 20 family members and friends on telephones and internet trying to get tickets smile

this time last week i was at brum nia, didnt think much of twisted wheel, although the drummer and bass player were good, and oasis new drummer played a blinder during shock of the lightning, the new songs sounded awesome as did all the classics.
