Apart from Oasis, Coldplay are the only other group that I have every album. ( Except Banderas who only made one, I think. hehe )

I've got to say that I think they've made some bloody brilliant music over the years.

The current album Viva La Vida is a great with LOST being the pick of the tracks.

Keep churning it out lads. Brilliant live too. thumbup

I caught them on Jools Holland last week. Really enjoyed it. I don't get the hate from some quarters. confused

Did anyone see Glen Campbell? I didn't realise he could play so well. He went out on a limb a bit on 'Galveston' but I still loved his solo. smile

I find the singer's insistence on constant high-pitched droning to be rather wearisome. He's actually got a decent voice when he's not squeezing his bks in a vice.

They're love it/hate it.

TBH their music has become bland, but their first songs were quite good. What you can't argue with is that their production is first rate, and I'm always a bit of a victim for well produced albums.

Maybe Coldplay should recruit Joe Satriani as their guitar player biggrin (And no that wasn't a serious suggestion.)

Personally i think Coldplay have moments of excellence, like 'fix you' which is a lovely song. However generally they don't do it for me. Just a huge stab of blandness....

However i am a Rock fan so probably not surprising..

I don't dislike 'em. In fact some of their songs are ace.

It's just a mystery to me why Chris Martin writes so many vocal parts that he can't quite seem to "comfortably" reach the notes in...?
