Im 42 you know!!!
It's funny when I tell people of a similar age to myself that I'm really into Hip-Hop, when I mean Hip-Hop I mean 'proper' old school stuff:
Pete Rock & CL Smooth
Tribe Called Quest
Showbiz & AG
Eic B
Lords Of The Underground
The Notorious B.I.G
To name but a few, saying that, I loved Flashing Light by Mr West.
Love 80's House too:
Strictly Rhythm Label
Nervous Label
Masters at work
Arnold jarvis
I was big into New Jack swing too:
Wrecks 'n' Effect
Teddy Riley
Uptown Records
Aswell as Washington Go-Go, Soulfull Techno (Jeff Mills, Underground Resistance etc), and 80's funk & boogie, my hero was a guy called
Leroy Burgess who sang backing with Change before singing and writing some amazing boogie toones through the 80's.
Black & soulful underground music just ain't around like it used to be!

Well I just recently got into it and I'm 37 - some pretty good stuff out there really :It's funny when I tell people of a similar age to myself that I'm really into Hip-Hop, when I mean Hip-Hop I mean 'proper' old school stuff:
FloRida
Lil Wayne
Snoop Dogg
Kardinal Offishall
Akon
Young Jeezy.
And the funny thing is a many of these guys are well into their 30's anyway so I don't think age is important.

I'm quite suprised theres more of us on here who like him than I thought there was going to be.
No one off to the GITD tour though? I'm looking forward to seeing the set, if it's the proper one.. Apparently it's amazing. I'm off to it in Manchester 17th November, 7 days before his album release.. Maybe he'll do something a little extra like he's done in previous years. Hmm.

I'm 36 btw and also love all the old stuff - Eric B,Rakim,Grandmaster Flash etc etc etc
I'd love to see Mr West play live but I despise big venues...

He is the only 'new' rapper I have on my ipod. Enough said.
The only one. You want some recommendations?I quite enjoy Kanye West, apparently the new album is electro So kind of taking the music genre a bit off the usual hip hop.
Well Love Lockdown is the first song in which he doesnt rap in, thats one of the good things about him.. He's taking it different ways and that.
Kanye West - Heartless
This is the HQ copy of the song..

He's certainly trying something different
