People always rave about him, but to me it sounds like he's doing a poor Vai impersonation. Just not my thing I suppose.

he played some nice stuff in the yardbirds but he just seems hugely overrated IMHO --

don't get me wrong - technically he's very good -- I just don't think that performance is very interesting. Ton's of people can play like that -
