Soundproofing?

Practically impossible. Seriously.
Yep, there are products which will do the job but not without considerable work and considerable expense. We do a material which is 6mm thick and has the same acoustic properties as 12" of concrete. However, for all its key USPs, cost isnt one of them.
my dem room has two layers of acoustic plaster board with green glue between the boards and has a flooting floor...............it works real well and costs a fortune.
i suggest as a cheaper option that you murder the next door chav's.
this will also save the goverment huge amounts of money in hand outs.
on the down side local industry (drug dealer and off licence) will lose out.

Never tried Acousti-Coat #150, but the marketing says it is a 'sound reduction paint coating' that is reckoned to reduce 'sound transmission and reflection by 30%'

Isolation is the best soundproofing,
Build new rooms within the existing rooms from thick plasterboard onto a timber frame, sitting on 'floated' floors on neoprene pads, that'll work, but not really worth it in a residential home...
Reckon the hit-man option is probably cheaper and easier.. (and more satisfying)
