Just put on the new Trivium CD. A few tracks in and it sounds promising. An acoustic intro followed by excellent guitar riff kicks the album off.

A bit of a mix of the last two IMO. Quite heavy too thumbup

I like Trivium, didn't think too much of the last album, really looking forward to this one! Heard a track off of this months Metal Hammer freeby CD! A return to form then?

Yes i think so, but i liked the last album. There are a lot of more mellow, tuneful bits in this one. Have listened to it twice now and it is good

I've only given shogun one listen but i think i preferred the last album to be honest.

Hopefully i'll change my mind after a few listens.

I'm a fan but am still trying to decide what to make of this one. It's the type of album that's impossible to absorb on the first few listens. Seems a good album, but think I still preferred The Crusade's style

The Crusade got a ribbing because it sounded EXACTLY like metalica. I enjoyed it however.
But this, after a few listens, is soooo much better. It's harder, more progressive and with a song like 'Into The Mouth Of Hell We March', this is by fra my fav Trivium album. I can't stop listening to it!

I must admit it has grown on me even more too. Still definitely shades or early Metallicca here and there, but overall an excellent album.

Have been listening to this one considerably more that Death Magnetic

I don't know how people could say that I thought The Crusade was well technical especially the drumming nothing like Metallica.
