Downloaded the Equinox & Oxygene albumslast night to see if they were as good as I remember them from my childhood days.
OH MY GOD, truely outstanding.
I can remember it now as if it was yesterday, the effect back in the late 70's of me at the age of 5 or 6, popping the Oxygene tape in the tape deck, clamping my dads headphones on & hearing this stuff for the first time, truley amazing, like nothing I had heard before.

I was a massive fan as a teenager in the 80s (went to Docklands) and recently rediscovered Oxygene and also now remember how much I loved Zoolook - top stuff!OH MY GOD, truely outstanding.

He's just toured Oxygene, playing real vintage synths live for once.

Loved his laser harp.
You DO know if was just a prop, right? Similarly the 'camera shutter' button he has on the side of one of his keyboards used in "Souvenir de Chine" doesn't choreograph at all with the actual sounds during the rendition.

If you haven't heard the new recording of Oxygene go out and get it! It's recorded to sound the way Jean Michel heard it in his mind's ear all those years ago, but couldn't achieve with the technology that existed then. When I listen to the new recording it's like hearing the music for the first time all over again. It's so very, very vivid. I was at the Royal Albert Hall on 30 march this year too
