From my uni days:

Teenage Fanclub (I thought they were shoite, but that put me in a minority)
My Bloody Valentine (excellent, still listen to them)
Sonic Youth
Soundgarden (when they were still in their guitar-sound-so-thick-you-can-stand-a-spoon-up-in-it days)
Dinosaur Jr (Sounds a bit whiney these days)
The Pixies (Bossa Nova had just come out)
Ride (Shoegazers)
Loop (Slightly more animated shoegazers)
The Cure (Last decent album was Disintegration, all pish after that)
Throwing Muses
New Model Army (Thunder and Consolation had come out a year or two prior, and the crusties all whined that Vengeance was better)
The Levellers (while we're on the topic of crusties)
The Fall (very popular at my uni for inexplicable reasons)
Spacemen 3 (and the offshoot, Sonic Boom)

ETA: and a vast pile of vaguely metal-ish things like Prong, Scat Opera, the Chillis before they turned to shoite, Kings X, Bootsauce, Pantera, etc

When you were younger?

WTF?

You're about 12.

God help us.

Ah - Well I have around 11 90's albums. Most will be chart type stuff, but if you'd like them drop me an email and i will use mailbigfile.com to send them to you.
