This is a long shot for Pistonheads but I've seen how every question gets answered, without fail. I'm trying in more relevant forums too.

So i'm looking for a USB Audio Interface for recording/monitoring 3 x stereo sources simultaneously (2 synths and 1 drum machine) in a computer sequencer (cubase, sonar etc). Essentially using the laptop as a multitrack recorder.

Can anyone recommend one for under £150?

Is it possible to run 3 cheaper USB audio interfaces at the same time?

Thanks

Hi,

£150 will get you a decent sound card these days, maybe try something from m_audio or Edirol. Both brands produce reasonable soundcards within your budget. I'm no expert so maybe try asking on another forum such as http://www.blackoutaudio.co.uk/forum/index.php to get a more informed opionion.

have fun!

  • edit, I'm sure you can get a soundcard with 3 decent inputs for your allocated budget

I have a FocusRite Safire to put my bass into... they seem to have a pretty decent range.

Eight Line Ins and Outs, sixteen channels of ADAT i/o (up to 96kHz) and stereo S/PDIF (up to 192kHz)

This one will do the job at £95.
