Not really kept up with the Trance scene since GC went monthly few years ago. This was when I stopped going.

Just wanting to d/l a few sets maybe even buy a few CD's.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

DJ's I enjoy listening to are

Above and Beyond
Nu-NRG
Matt Hardwick
Cosmic Gate
Tiesto
Armin
Eddie Scalliwell
Derb
Scott Project
Talla 2XLC

So a pretty broad spectrum of trance there.

Can anyone give me some recommendations for new mix CD's or live sets that are worth it. I do have all essential mixes. So obviously not them

PMSL @ Eddie Scaliwell smile

Looking at the list you posted i would suggest you check out:

Sean Tyas
John O'Callaghan
Mark Sherry
Aly & Fila
Bryan Kearney
Markus Schulz
Sander Van Doorn
Super8 & Tab
Re-Ward
Deadmau5

That will cover pretty much the whole trance range as it stands now.

I grab alot of promo mixes and live sets from Matt Hardwicks forum ... http://www.matthardwick.com/forums/forumdisplay.ph...

or from Alldj ... http://www.alldj.org/

Paul van Dyk is still my favourite DJ after all these years. His sets are just spot on to my taste; always have been.

Guy Ornadel is also worth checking out.

That's a shame. My present girlfriend hates clubbing, and my clubbing mates have all moved away, so I don't get to go much anymore. I will go soon though, as I really miss it. Eddie Halliwell was always another favourite of mine - I love the scratching - you don't often get to hear that in Trance sets. My local club, Slinky, has also gone seriously downhill since it was bought up.

We have a winner! biggrin
Worth rooting around the dutch label "Black Hole" for the trance lovers, one name that hasn't been mentioned so far is Cor Fijneman.

Guy Ornadel is Sasha's manager, or was when they did the Delta Heavy tour.
Sasha was knocking out prog trance around 2000ish, and even his 2005 essential mix goes a bit trancey at times.
Nick Warren covers all sorts of genres, but is also a bit tranceish. Get Global Underground 24, Rekjavik.
One of the best GUs imo.

I've got all the GUs I think, and Warren is the most consistent performer, even as the series has deteriorated (imo), his efforts for 28 and 30 were good.

If there are any soulseekers out there then pm if there are any you can't find.

Didn't realise people still used soulseek.

Used to use it all the time. Had some excellent music, now it's nearly all gone. But gradually building my collection up again.
