I think AC/DCs donnington 1991 live album is hard to beat.

I also love The Cult live at the Marquee club.

My favourites in no particular order:-

Metallica - S&M
Hawkwind - Space Ritual
AC/DC - If You Want Blood...
Floyd - Pulse
UFO - Strangers In The Night
Sabbath - either Reunion (with Ozzy) or Live Evil (with Dio)
Thin Lizzy - Live And Dangerous
Michael Schenker Group - One Night At Budokan

Though if pushed to pick just one, it would be Space Ritual

Slayer - Decade Of Aggression, the best live album ever, you can hear the surge of energy as they kick off Hell Awaits!
Others:

S.O.D - Live At The Budokan
and although it's not strictly an album the video from Live st Binge & Purge of Metallica playing in Seattle in 1989 is just mind-blowing!

And another!

(Crap version of Child In Time though; the bar was set by the studio version IMO).
