Went to see him last Friday night in Holland .... simply staggering.

First time ever at a Satch concert, was held in a venue called Paradiso which is an old church converted to a concert hall.

My buddy and I got near the front as the crowd eased out to the bar after the support band, and waited patiently. The following 2 hrs were magical, my ears could not believe what they were hearing or my eyes the control JS has over his instrument.

Amazing to hear all the great tracks from Flying in a Blue Dream, and Surfing with the Alien. FIABD is my personal favourite and was awesome to hear the acoustic guitar signal the start of the song, very special. One of the last songs to be played was SWTA and was obvious he was really enjoying himself, laughing and smiling whilst belting out the riffs and solos. Played Time Machine too, did not realise how complex a song that was until Friday night.

Went on the sauce afterwards ..... was a great atmosphere in town given the Dutch had just beaten France in the football.

Just incredible.

Kind Regards

Martyn.

He is mighty impressive on the guitar. Whilst I'm not a big fan of the style of his music I do admire his extraordinary level of skill. I have read various magazine articles written by him and his knowledge of music theory is just as impressive as his guitar skills. I know that anything he writes is likely to be worth reading.

One thing though. Is it just me or does he look a little bit like Dr Evil. One of his solo faces is the "one miiiiiiiiiiillion dollars" face. hehe
