Is is just me or do you guys totally get fed up with multi millionaire rock stars 'preaching' total bks to us.
I mean look at Bonehead - sorry Bono.
The guy goes on about being anti war and feeding everyone whilst jumping into bed with the 2 biggest war criminals alive in the world today Bush and Blair.
Those two should be strung up.
Mind you have you noticed that every outburst of crap I have heard from him seems to preceed a new U2 album or tour ? mmmmmm Btw - have you liked anything since The Joshua Tree - thought not smile

Then we have Coldplay.
They were great when Parachutes came out because no one knew who they are. Then Chris Martin started doing the rounds with stupid messages written on his hands about free trade (o yeah I really give a fk about that don't I when fuel is 130 a litre) and bang Bono mk 2 is born. I mean together these bozo's are worth 100 million quid and they could single handedly sort out world problems yet I am supposed to respect their views - fk off.

Minor league players include Sting and saving forests and of course Sir Bob but at least he ain't after the publicity of the others because he does not record anymore.

Why don't these wrs do something for our own country and put us first for a change. There are old people who are getting shafted by this labour government (who these dick heads all support btw)who insist on making them sell their homes to pay for care (not in Scotland of course).
Or they could build a new hospital out of lose change and sponsorship could run it - now that would impress me but it ain't gonna happen is it.
So I will make it my job never to pay for any material from these tossers.

Thats my rant for today.

I hate Thom Yorke with a passion, the fking prat constantly whinging on about the environment. He actually had the gall to tell his own fans (the ones who made him rich) to use public transport to see Radiohead. Johnny Borrell him from Razorlight, seems incapable of keeping his trap shut.

Had this very discussion in a pub not so long ago. Bono/U2 moved their company from Ireland to the Netherlands in order to pay a lower royalties tax on their records. It really pisses me off that someone who preaches about giving and uniting the world or whatever it is he goes on about, hasn't the decency to pay taxes in his own native country for the betterment of his fellow Irishmen. Or even contribute part of the money he saved to those more in need than him. Which is most people.

Bloody Hypocrit

Not only that. I don't think that they pay full income tax in Ireland because of the tax relief for artists over there (although I'm happy to be corrected on this).

I must agree about Thom York too. For some reason his attitude grates more than all of the Bonos and Chris Martins out there. I suppose that is because despite being a member of one of the most influential bands of the last 20 years, and presumably therefore quite bright, he seems to be somewhat short sighted in his opinions.

I have far more respect for those who can give who don't make a song and dance out of it.

When musicians begin to mix their artform with politics, that's around the time they should get shot. Unless of course you are Frank Zappa, who knew exactly what he was talking about and used his music as a medium to make light of political issues.

All of you STFU. I have about as much interest in your political views as I do in Gordon Brown and David Cameron's views on rock music.

Models need to shut up as well. Who cares what Naomi Campbell or Kate Moss think about anything apart from shoes.

I have to agree with you there, a couple of tweaks here and there but yeah!

Chris Martin
Bono
Paul Weller
Thom Yorke
Michael Stipe

I'd also add Amy Winehouse and all of the Spice Girls, All Saints etc.

But on the positive side, saw Radiohead in Dublin the other week, (I drove down from Belfast) 10 minute que to gain access to the venue, 5 minute walk from car park to stage and best of all 10 minutes after was back on the motor way heading for home. Fantastic show, great (layed back) vibe at the event, was so easy, only bad point was 5 euro a pint (or £5 if you had no euro)
