Just seen that Tenacious D are going to be playing too. Two out of the three headliners may be a little questionable, but the rest of the line up is about as good as any other year I've been a reckon. They are principally skinny-jeans-wearing indie 'The' bands addmittedly, but I'm sure it'll be fun. smile

There's always The Glade or The Greenfields to escape to after you've heard one to many fake northern accents from those reet working class indie types...

Not this year, for the first year since 1997.

That said, its still not sold out so there maybe a last minute change of heart.

I know quite a few people who go regularly and have decided not to this year. Most of them have blamed the line up, but I don't entirely get it. Apart from the usual cliche of 'you don't just go to Glasto for the bands' I genuinely think the 'daytime' bands for this year are as good as ever.

I also harbour a secret desire that Jay-Z will turn out to be a smokescreen and it will in fact be a secret Led Zep gig, but that's probably just my own fevered dillusion.

I haven't been for a couple of years (I grew up quite close though, so went every year as a kid) and people are complaining that it's turned commercial. They've been saying that since about 1995 and the last time I went in 2005 it was still a world away from the Vs and Readings of this world. I hasten to add I mean that in a good way...

Just take a look at the line up - The Verve, Massive Attack, Tenacious D, Manu Chao, Groove Armada, Mark Ronson, Biffy Clyro, Crowded House, Ozomatli, Fun Loving Criminals, Fatboy Slim, The Automatic, The Hoosiers, The Raconteurs, The Enemy, The Pigeon Detectives, The Editors, The Fratellis, (dare I say) The Feeling, We Are Scientists, Panic at the Disco, , Scouting for Girls... The list goes on. smile

I'd like to see Mark Ronson it has to be said. All the other big acts on that list I've seen and a goodly number at Glasto. Main reason I'm not going is our usual glasto crowd arent fussed after the chaos of last year and the lineup being average.

I think Glasto is what you make it mind, you can have an epic time without being bothered about the lineup at all.
