Help me someone!! I am after a new small combo for rehearsals / smaller gigs. I currently have a 450 watt amp, 4x10 and 1x15 cabs, and they are a bit big sometimes (they wont fit in the boot either).

I am looking at something like a Fender Rumble 115 or Line 6 Lowdown 150. I'm not a great lover of effects, so will need some convincing about the Line 6, but you have to have an open mind, eh?

I will go and try as many as possible, but do any of you guys have any experience of either of the above?

We play blues /rock mostly, by the way.
Thanks in advance

Kim

My son has a Marshall Bass State B150...150 watts single 15" speaker,XLR o/p,equaliser and a blendable valve/solid state pre amp...don't know if it's still a current model but it sounds really good....and it's quite portable...

What's your budget.... ? New or second hand..?

The 'Mark Bass' stuff is good & very small and light. Ashdown isn't bad. Eden 'Metro' or Mesa Boogie 'Walkabout' series would be my personal preferance.
I'd avoid Line 6 unless you really want the effects & amp modelling.

OR just use the amp you have & just one of the cabs if you like them.

Thanks for the replies chaps.

I have tried just about everything I can get my hands on and fallen for an Ashdown 180-115 combo.

Off to work we go then!
