Went to Andertons in Guildford to help my brother choose an acoustic guitar today and happened to ask the assistant about the Taylor Standard that I had spied. He was really enthusiastic about it so I decided to give it a go. Mighty impressive! Until today the best guitar I've played was a PRS Custom. Not any more. Given a choice I'd take one of these new Taylors every day of the week. It felt great to play, had a really nice neck (similar to a PRS wide thin, but a little meatier) and was a little thinner than a PRS Singlecut. It is chambered so is fairly light and it sounds like a matured guitar, not a brand new one. They've got some impressive pickups in there too and they are very versatile in the sounds they can create.

Just a recommendation to anyone who is looking for an electric any time soon. thumbup

Never thought of Taylor electrics before.
Strangely someone had PRS acoustic in recently.
Never seen one of them before either.
