Another great gone. One of my absolute heroes as a guitar-playing teenager. What a shame. More here:

Very sad. I saw Jeff play in Perth many years ago, sensational player, against all odds.

Great shame. Managed to see JH in Manchester probably 17 years ago now and his stage show was excellent. Very sad to hear of his passing frown

When I first heard him play I was dam impressed and had no clue he was blind, then I actually saw him play and it totally blew me away. Very sad loss of a huge talent.

Didn't realise either till I saw him in that Roadhouse movie in the 80s.

If ever there was one of a kind, he was it.

Saw him at Rock City in Nottingham on his first UK tour, amazing.

I saw him at the Hammersmith Odeon in the late '80s. Amzing skill considering his disability. Was an absolute wonder to listen to live.

Really sad news, and just 3 weeks before his new album is released.

Another one that I wanted to see play live but never managed it. Apparently he was due over here this year, and booked to do 'Later with Jools Holland' next month.

Really sorry to hear of his passing - he was one act I would have loved to have seen live. His See The Light album has been one I've had on the go for the last 20 years (can't believe it's been that long!) and still enjoy.
