In about 1978 I taught that Ash boy about tape loop effects on his guitar.
Found Murphys old passport in a house we moved into after they got slung out, and traded it for a shag years later with a star eyed chick.
Can't believe they are still going after these decades.

I know funny stories about them including the Jets
(Northampton band too) beating them in the charts.

Look in,

Great, but no in fact no idea on that at all.

No there was a tussle in the charts as the jets recorded their first album, at (same studio BH) 'Beck' in Wellingboro.
And had some success. In charts from 80 onwards

They had Two players from the blockheads at the recordings, so someone liked them.

Anyway,
Shortly after bauhaus performed initially at Northampton Repertory theatre
Murphy admitedlly very moody looking sat in deep armchair to begin show with Lugosi'

Some friends bumped into the boys browsing MFI locally, and wittilly enquired if band were choosing new armchair for taking on tour...

You may recall Maxcell tapes famously hired Murphy later on, reprising his chair act, to sell cassette tapes.

The house in Adams avenue was for awhile their base, later on I took over his sulky bedroom and found Petes passport,

An irish navvy in another shared house next door, on bumping into Danny A One Morning, complained his sleep had been interupted because
"You fook too loud"

Ha, the old days

That was it,
I reckon I've seen it on youtube if your bothered at all.

anyway the Bauhaus boys used to loaf around the music shops in town then
Funkshun/Minns/Alans,
apparently at a loose end between performances, I worked at One shop, and between serving people I pissed about on instruments all day as you can imagine,
they wandered in one day (to sneer at Kate Bush sheet music I expect) as usual,
watched me selotaping loops of magnetic tape, and using on it a echo effect guitar accessory,
despatched their midget roadie Glen, to buy One quick.

fkers never even gave me a fiver

Used to be a great Bauhaus fan in my youth, saw them live quite a few times in the early 80's.
i still have pencil cases and books decorated with the Bauhaus 'face'.

must dig out my old 12" of bela lugosi and give it a blast!

I procured some of the new songs since it was mentioned here,

'Endless summer of the damned' I mean honestly, and you know old punks look just ridiculous.
