Indeed - saw Megadeth a few times in their heyday. For me, they were the best metal band musically, and Mustaine's axe wielding capabilities inspired me to take up the guitar.

One of the loudest gigs I ever went to was Megadeth at the Apollo in Manchester! smile

It was so long ago I can't remember when it was, but I remember that Dave Mustaine was teasing the crowd about not playing Anarchy, and everyone started singing "Who ate all the pies, who ate all the pies, you fat bd, you fat bd, who ate all the pies!".

It was the funniest thing ever - Mustaine was completely dumbfounded and just started playing it. Good times! biggrin

I was there at the Notts gig, great fun!

Evile were great, very early slayer-esque. Missus ended up buying the CD on the wayout, which I'm yet to listen to as I had to travel down to London on business early Tuesday morning, and just back tonight.

Job for a Cowboy.... what a pile of steaming turd they were! Still, made Megadeth seem all the better when they came on smile

Thoroughly enjoyed it, good to hear some old faves biggrin

Went and saw Megadeth at the Birmingham Academy tonight - haven't seen 'em for a fair few years, but Dave Mustaine still rocks!! music

As for the support acts....

Yeah, not bad - have heard worse.....

which brings me to 'Job For A Cowboy'

I couldn't agree more - the crowd just stood there!! When Dave thanked the support bands the whole place booed at the mention of 'Cowboy' - they were like some old skool 90's death metal - but worse!!

Still Megadeth were great - my ears are still ringing smile
