saw qotsa in belfast on 7th feb - Brilliant live and a full house of 4000 but they never played lost art of keeping a secret, auto pilot and most disappointingly no one knows!!! Although it was a great gig you could sense the crowds disappointment of missing out no one knows especially!! Does it piss anybody else off when bands miss out the crowd pleasers?? I went to see david bowie years ago and he just played his whole new album - no classics at all!!

To be fair, for the real fans, every QotSA song is a crowd-pleaser!

I saw them in November or December last year and they didn't play No One Knows, but they played the Lost Art. I was more disappointed that they didn't play Regular John.

I'd like to think i am a real QUOTSA fan, and i would have been dusappointed had they not played Noone Knows or Lost Art, and You Never came for that matter too

Saw them at Brixton about 4 years ago - they were absolutely outstanding - then 2 years ago at Hyde Park and was utterly disappointed. I think Hyde Park is awful accoustically which does not help, but even so I thought they were a let down. Just like their latest CD. They are always a bit of a love/hate thing for me.

I agree that their latest CD is not on par with earlier ones, but i guess thats what happens to most bands really.

They seem to have 3 very distinct types of songs (to my ears anyway) 1. the rhythmic sing along-able stuff 2. the more unusual rhythmic stuff and 3. plain nasty noise that's just utter st.

Every band should have a nekkid bass player though so they got one thing right!!

Yes. I know. He was there at the Brixton Gig not at the Hyde Park Gig.

Thanks.

Ahh... watching the video to that prompted me to get my drum kit out again! Classic.

Whats the story with Grohl playing on that track? Did he just play about with them for a bit as well as Foo Fighters?

Oh, & yes, i'd be a bit dissappointed aswell. weeping

He replaced the drummer who recorded Rated R, from about 2001 to late 2002, he wrote most of the drum lines for Songs for the Deaf and toured with them until the album was released.
