My daughter is doing some homework and she has to write about a song which is about space. All fine and dandy, except there are two small caveats. She can't write about Life On Mars or Space oddity irked

So folks, give me your best non Bowie space related songs biggrin

ermm, so my mate says, I have no idea what he means like, in fact, because he even knows, he's not even my mate.

no no no, it was crap then and its crap now! smile

IIRC there was a speeded up bit that featured on a Levis ad, everyone thought "cool dance track" but it turned out to be a pretty horrific rock/grunge/dirge thing.

Add to that Jaz/Jas Mann lead singer was a complete and utter tard!

Anyhoo, back on topic, Im sure every other kid is going to end up doing "rocketman" by.. erm Elton John I think, covered by Kate Bush?

I think the song from meaning of life is an EXCELLENT suggestion, lots of interesting facts and very funny, and will make you feel a bit insignificant if you're that way inclined!

ETA sorry someone beat me to Rocketman,
