Any blues recommendations?

Hey folks
Looking for some new music. I love the blues and I guess my favourite style would be the guitar driven type. My favourite stuff includes the entire Stevie Ray Vaughn catalogue, most of the Gary Moore stuff (especially that amazing live album featuring Albert King, BB King and Albert Collins) and a lot of the Allman Brothers work. Also, I love the only album released by a little known band called Janata some years ago, the singer Chris Janata had a powerful Joe Cocker style voice.
Through listening to Planet Rock I discovered Walter Trout, although this tends to be somewhat 'samey' and isn't as ballsy as I like. Also Joe Bonamassa, though he has released a lot of albums and I'm not sure which to get.
Whats spinning?

Still one of my favourite blues records is Derek and the Dominos' Live at he FIllmore. Don't be put off by the Clapton thing, really good cliche free blues playing.

I can't recommend this enough, even though a lot of it is blues / pop crossover. Also get the "Beano" album by John Mayall's Bluesbreakers. That is an order.
If the OP is feeling adventurous, maybe try some Robert Johnson (very acquired acoustic slide blues), T-Bone Walker (early, slick, jazzy blues), Lightnin' Hopkins, Howlin' Wolf.
For a Bonamassa album, try Had to Cry Today. He was a lot rawer and less polished then (and all the better for it IMO). Along the same lines would be Robben Ford, either solo or with The Blue Line.
If you can find anything by Lance Lopez, he's well worth a punt. He's a little less bluesey than Bonamassa, but guaranteed to melt your face. Hard to find though. Google for torrents.

Anysley Lister. He's a very good guitar player and has quite a fresh sound on account of not being the usual middle aged American. A bit more about it here - http://www.ukevents.net/chris03.shtml
Speaking of middle aged Americans, Walter Trout is very much in the traditional blues mould, but well worth a listen.
If you want to go a bit more prog/rock some of Uli Jon Roth's blusier stuff might be of interest?

I don't usually listen to alot of blues but spookily I have just put on the Shinkickers live cd as I read this... Local Perth original blues band, very accomplished musos, usually go to see them play at the Vic Park hotel Sunday afternoon session

eta don't click on the track with Matt Taylor, it's crap. Matt is a legend of Aussie blues, but they didn't do the song justice.

White boys sing the blues http://www.amazon.co.uk/Pious-Bird-Good-Omen/dp/B0... and make a pretty good job of it
Try-
Gus Cannon's Jug Stompers from the early 1900's
Sleepy John Estes
Mississippi John Hurt
Big Mama Thornton
Victoria Spivey
Arthur Big Boy Crudup
John Lee Hooker
Blind Boy Fuller
Blind Lemon Jefferson
Go back to the 1910's 20's, 30's & 40's. Forget the Blues players after that period till you can appreciate the music from the early days. Then broaden you listening.

The Derek & The Dominos Layla album is, in the same vein, fantastic for blues guitar. EC at the absolute creative top of his game in my view. Fantastic playing, great songs, and of course http://www.amazon.co.uk/Live-Fillmore-Digital-Dere...
the late but very definitely great Duane Allman on guitar as well.
A great British blues band called 'The Hoax'.
Here's a link to a song called 'Scaramouche' they did on the Jools Holland show in 1995:

From the album 'Sound like this'.
