Going to see Megadeth @ Brixton academy on the 24th of February and I'm really looking forward to it! Need some advice as i have never been there before, in fact its probably 10 years since i've been into the 'smoke'! Mainly need some advice on parking in locality mainly because i've never driven there before?! Links would be greatly appreciatedwink
Thanks In Advance
Matt

I've driven to Brixton Academy a few times now and parking hasn't been a problem. If you drive down Stockwell Road, in front of the Academy, there's a couple of left hand turns (Chantrey Road and Stansfield Road). It's residential parking but have always managed to find a parking space.

Earplugs would be a good idea!

I saw Megadeth at the Manchester Apollo back in '94 (I think) and they were very, very loud! I couldn't hear for about 2-3 days afterwards...

Saw them at the (Brixton) Academy also in '94 - longest time I've ever spent queing to get into the venue - missed the support & all sorts. Good gig though. Sorry can't help with the parking, always get the tube.

I've been looking at this, as they're doing work on the Victoria line from 4th Feb onwards, which means no trains after 10.00pm. There is a multi-storey car park a few minutes walk from the Academy:-

As you're going before me (3rd March), I'd be interested to know how it works out (was it already full, was the traffic a nightmare, etc).

Last time I parked near there was for 'Therapy in '96 or '97 and I just found a backstreet about five minutes walk away, no problems... but that was a long time ago!!!

"Hangar 18"

One of the greatest guitar duels ever committed to disc.

Mustaine's anger.

Friedman's flair.

ahh Peace Sells, not heard that for ages! I've got all their old albums on tape somewhere, might have to buy some on CD again. Think I've got my old T-shirts still as well, Vic Rattlehead was it on them?
