Hi guys

I have been relistening to my old Pearl Jam cds and they are still magical. What a voice Eddy Vedder has.

However, the Unplugged version of Porch is just mindblowingly awesome and is definitely THE best driving song ever and, for me, right up there with the best songs ever.

It's just a shame they never released an Unplugged CD.... (This demans to be played at full volume ; )

For some reason, PJ never did it for me. Just checked out your you tube link, and i still feel the same.

Good band and good musicians definitely, but missing something for me.

Not life affirming for me i'm afraid

love a bit of Pearl Jam, Eddie Vedder's voice is indeed amazing, almost like another instrument!
no record collection is complete without a copy of Ten or Vs IMO, landmark albums that helped shape and form the grunge scene very well IMO, "Alive" still makes the hair on my neck stand up!
love Yield and the latest self titled album too
that version of Porch is excellent BTW! was going to post a good version of "Not For You" but Youtube has removed it for some unbeknownst reason...

Pearl Jam never don't do anything for me I know a lot of people rave about them but it doesn't seem to work for me.

Now Alice In Chains thats a different matter.......

God, I love Pearl Jam cloud9

"Alive" was the first tune I learned to play from start to finish on the guitar, and they've had - for me - too many great moments to list here.

Two that spring to mind are:

Great tracks there too - it would be awesome being able to sing like that - imagine turing up to a karaoke and belting them out ; )

Right - I'm going to make a Pearl Jam CD and go out for a drive!

Mike McCready and Stone Gossard are not the greatest axe-slingers in the world, but by they can churn out some quality tunes.

It always helps having a lead vox like King Eddie of Vedder as well....
