Anyone heard their singles, You And Me, and Just For Tonight? They're from my neck of the woods, my band played our first gig on the same bill with them. I like their songs, but Steve Lillywhite has rather dulled down their big anthemic sound (which was present on the demos). Strange seeing as he produced U2. Singer is cocky as fook aswell.

Bit average in my opinion.

Saw them supporting the Pigeon Detectives, watched a song or two and went to the bar; from what I can remember the drummer went a bit freestyle, singer (as said) a bit cocky and songs are catchy but bland.

Bit of a nothing band really.

AYe it is good. We're going after them and their fan base in a big way though. They seem to like us.

Actually funny this has come up today. There single, just for tonight is reviewed in the Guardian... Review is spot on in my view, highlight...

'records as dull as this are as rare as hen's teeth. Plodding between dishwasher and drying paint with a furrowed brow and The Edges reverb pedals, just for tonight aims squarely at indies bluntest edge and succeeds with overwrought, toe curling gusto.'

That really sums up all of these type of bands, especially bloody snow patrol and all there clones. They are just so so so bland and dull. There are some really good original bands about so why does drossy shite like one night only etc get airplay? Beats me...

I like them! They remind me of The Upper Room.

I'm with you on this one, so many bands that one can hardly tell apart, and nothing particularly interesting.... In fact, anything interesting that does arise seems merely to be a re-visit to bands that have gone before in the 70's or 80's.

To be fair to ONO, they are far superior to bands like Arctic Monkeys/King of Leon/Libertines etc. They do have a big sound, but Steve Lillywhite ruined their sound by making them sound like the Kooks. The original demos weren't like that at all. I'ts hard to describe the difference, but they didn't have that annoying Indie guitar tone for starters.
