How do,

Ive noticed that there are quite a lot of requests from people asking which song they have heard and where - I have a solution I think!!!

Put the track in question on your TV or radio or whatever and turn the volume up - now hold your mobile up to it and dial the number 2580. Once the call has been answered, keep playing the song for at least 10 seconds or until the call automatically hangs up. You will have dialled Shazam and within 1 minute you should have a text message to tell you who the song is by and title. It costs 50p a go, but gets rid of that annoying "what is that song i keep hearing feeling"

Cheers!

Or, if it's a vocal piece, save 50p by Googling the lyrics for an artist and title and then checking the 30 sec. clip in the iTunes store for confirmation!

Shazam can work well, and has been around for a couple of years now.

I'm actually a bit suprised that no other company seems to offer a similar service.... Have Shazam got a monopoly on it?!

As has also been said..... googling lyrics and using iTunes for confirmation is another pretty easy route to a song title.....

understood - but I was meaning instrumental pieces too - lyric searches are good, but Electro or classical doesnt tend to have a vocal!

It's free and easy to ask here though, and PH knows everything!
