When I lived with my parents I used to spend Sunday mornings lying in bed. Nothing unusual there. My parents would be downstairs with Classical FM on the radio. On a fairly regular basis there would be a dramatic piece of classical music - mostly, if not totally, strings, which evoked, for me, images of flying over snowy mountains with dense forests growing up the sides. I've since regularly devoted bits of time here and there to trying to find out what this piece was, but never succeeded. I know it's a long shot from my vague description, but could anyone hazard a guess as to what it was I might have heard?

No, I just checked the clips on iTunes. None of them. Thanks for the suggestion though.

The Hebrides Overture by Mendelssohn?

The Adagio for Spartacus & Phrygia by Khatchaturian?

Fantasia on a Theme of Thomas Tallis by Ralph Vaughan-Williams?
