I can't stand Bruce Springsteen. "Born in the USA" is just a dreadful durge shouted by an over-rated musician. (In MY opinion.)

Anyone else have pet music(ian) hates?

Oasis

Whilst a couple of the songs are ok (Wonderwall) I just can't stand listening to a group who have such an enormous opinion of themselves.

All this "we are the greatest rock band ever" crap is both tiresome and completely bollox. Not even a frakin "Rock" band in my opinion. Guitar driven yes, Rock? not in your wildest sonner lad. oh, and get your ing hair cut, your not a ing beatle.

Philistine! wink I'm currently awaiting delivery of my tickets to see him in Cardiff in June - can't wait!

It's odd though, dad used to play him constantly in the car when I was a kid and I never 'got' it and then I borrowed his car years later and scrabbled about in the glove box for a tape to play, found Springsteen and it all sort of made sense.

As to bands I can't stand, pretty much any of these Arctic Razor Editors type British indie bands that seem to be solely about singing (badly) in an irritating regional accent while mashing away at their guitars like chimps suffering a seizure. Just don't get where the 'tune' is meant to be...?

Oh, and Kings of Leon. My missus thinks they're great but he just sounds like a retarded hillbilly to me and the guitar player sounds crap. Wish I could 'get' them actually as everyone else seems to and I don't understand what I'm not hearing if you know what I mean...

Ok, you got me started:

Hendrix - over rated, uncontrolled noise.

Most 'indie' bands, especially the Arctic Monkeys - boring, unsophisticated, and incredibly over rated. It makes my blood boil when bands like them get signed and bands like mine don't, and we're better, end of.

Led Zep - not as good as sabbath, not by a long way.

Genesis - What the is going on here? Steve Hackett is a mint guitarist on his Spectral Mornings album, and Peter Gabriel's own stuff is often quite good. But how the hell did someone produce this random, caused-by-an-acid-trip shite?

Primus - Who the thinks Les Claypool is good? Crap band, crap bassist.

Oasis - New stuff is ok, the guy who plays guitar is a better singer than the nobjockey who normally sings. Also think they're hard, when they are actaully a pair of scrawny runts who most people I know could drop in a punch. Cocks.

I think that about covers my hate. I will be back if I can think of more......

That chipmunk sounding song in the charts now "Heartbroken". Must resist the urge to kill them all.

Now now, what's he done to deserve that? And he was based in Strensall Barracks, near where I live, so I have to defend him.

I find all modern music that you'd ever hear on the Radio/TV to be dull, boring & underwhelming!

Our parents told us to turn our music down as it was 'just noise', the music today's kids listen to you're forever waiting for it to kick in!

Good call, Greg. I would extend it to The Beatles as a whole, though.

Pete Doherty.

Ignoring that he is a cretin and all the media rubbish around him, I just cannot see what all the fuss is about.

Libertines and Babyshambles are just so dull and he is certain not a 'modern day poet'
