It's a very good album. Footballers wife is a great song.

You can hear it here,

The only strange thing about the album is that it sounds like the two singles were produced by someone completely different to who produced the rest of the album.

I certainly haven't had enough of it yet, that and Snow Patrol - run, despite hearing both 4-5 times a day.

Ah, I also play Chasing Cars and Back to Black....

I haven't got the album, just downloaded the songs from I-Tunes.

Amy Macdonald .. it's my current fave and I can't get enough of it. It's quite simply the best album Ive heard for years, not one bad song imo. I love it! Helped by her voice being uncannily like Delores from the Cranberries despite one being Scottish and the other Irish.

I've been waiting for this one to come up, it's taken a while.

Yep got the album before xmas, and listened it over and over, passed it on to as many friends as will listen to it, I'm off to see her in Liverpool next month and in a bored moment worked out how to play "Run" which is my favourite track and the simplest of the album.

For me the only bum note of the record is "youth of today" where I can't quite work out if she is being ironic or not. I hope she is, but I fear she's not, so we'd have to agree to disagree and talk about something else.

It's not uncommon. Bill Nelson Produced for "A Flock of Seagulls" but only the singles from both their first two albums. Bryan Ferry has Rhett Davies doing parts of his Albums but self produces other parts. Depeche Mode also have Daniel Miller, Themselves, Ben Hillier and Gareth Jones producing their last album although Hillier gets the main credit.

I must be getting too old then, and I'm only 28, as the bloody minded biligerance of the youthful side of the arguement really irkes and almost embarrases me.

The fact it's also a really good song just makes it all worse. wink
