Hi all,

Just wondering if any of you have any interesting stories about music and your pets you'd like to share, as the weirdest thing happened at home tonight!

I put on my Ray Lamontagne CD and it had the most amazing effect on my dog, who's never previously shown the slightest regard for music of any kind!

We were playing together and he was running around like a mad thing as per usual, but when I started the CD he stopped dead, and I mean instantly, sat down in front of the stereo, head cocked to one side, ears pricked up listening intently. He then decided to lie down for the duration of the song, looking thoroughly chilled!

I stopped the CD after one song, and he was up straight away playing like before, so I decided to try again and sure enough, he stopped dead as soon the music started again, same as before!!

So music therapy for pets! I'm quite happy to play some Ray for muttley, as he seems to love it so much, and it's great to see him happy!

I'm just glad he's got good taste and it's not something like spice girls or shane ward!! biggrin

Mum's dog will come and listen to some jazz records (Kind Of Blue particularly) but ignores anything else.

Sometimes "watches" television too, mostly when people are talking in a normal voice when there's no soundtrack or significant background noise.
