Nope your not the only one, I was there too. Quite close to the front on Rothers' side.. Absolutly cracking gig and full of festive fun. El President in an inflatable Santa's outfit was a classic! laugh

Now that makes me feel old. Not been to a Marillion gig in 20 years. I wonder if there is a market for all my old signed programs/album covers? biggrin

(Plus the first 7 issues of "The Web&quotwink.

Nor I. Still got all my picture discs and 12" singles from the Fish era though.

I have every picture disk up to Heart of Lothian. That is what comes of being a local lad, and getting them all from Earth Records.

I don't have the Market Square Heroes one, was deleted before I got a copy and proved elusive thereafter. Other than that have them all up to Sugar Mice.

It was excellent wasn't it, try to get to at least two concerts a year and the Christmas ones are always good value.

Noticed you run an Elise as well; good choice (old rockers in mid life crisis springs to mind, well for me anyway rofl)

Not seen them without Fish so can't comment, but the reunion ( 1 song! ) clip thats going about from earlier this year was good!

Seen Fish on his own this year, still puts on one of the best live shows around.......

His support was a lady called Jo McCafferty, very good!!

Sugar Mice is a big favourite for me. Good tune, easy to play on the geetar, and a well crafted solo. Eyelike.

Steve Hogarth is going to be on Radio 2 with Ken Bruce on the 19th ( I think?, need to check)

Apparently they were doing Pop Master and Ken Bruce played a part of "Thank You Whoever You Are", and asked who the singer was thinking it was Fish!!! As an apology Hogarth is getting on the show to do the Pop Master thing.

They may even get a record played.

As H's christmas T shirt says 'Steve Hogarth, the new lead singer since 1989' rofl

I'll have to keep an ear out on the 19th - it's not often the guy's get on to mainstream radio.

I wonder if he'll do any more of his 'h natural' shows - unfortunately I didn't manage to catch any of these, but I downloaded one of the gigs and it sounded good. I've seen Marillion a few times, most recently on the 'Somewhere Else' tour in Newcastle this year... it was good to see them up here - it's not often they play my neck of the woods.

Yes he was on popmaster - vs Jo Brand. "Listen again" if you so wish.

They played a track off the newest album in between rounds. Haven't heard it myself, but seems to get a bit of a slating on amazon.co.uk

Pah! He's still the new boy to me...

20 years since I saw them last in Hanley town hall and it's still one of the best gigs I've been to.

They played see it like a baby, which is the worst track the band has ever recorded.

They requested Fantastic Place, which is a stunning song, but the radio played See it like a baby frown

The current album is worth the price for the title track alone. Hear it here:
