Any other System of a Down fans on here? My lad got me into them - I find them really interesting and like the complexity of the material. I think the singer Serj Tankian displays some Zappa influence - his new solo album is excellent. I saw them live at Leeds a couple of years back - a great live act.

Some of the stuff is pure brilliance IMO, some of the stuff is just noisy shite!!! Chop Suey! of cours eis good, B.Y.O.B. and Mesmerize are oprobably my favoutites but the rest tends to sound fairly similar and not really my kind fo thing at all

yep got all of their albums and they are very good, Toxicity is one of my all time favourites, heavy when necessary, with a melodic balance. Very good!!

the hubby loves them, and that voice is now irritatingly familiar, however, it's one CD I won't force him to turn off hehe (also very interesting to watch smile)

wavey that will be me then wink
they are a great band, and fantastic live, have seen them at reading where Daron told the crowd if they threw anymore bottles at him he'd stop playing hehe awesome at Brixton too
Chop suey is a great track.
Think it's a shame that serj's new single sounds just like a SOAD album, thought he might have gone in a different direction. have it on my xmas list though (hint hint Di)

What do you make him turn off if you allow a bit of SOAD?

Yep, I like the Hypnotize/Mesmerize double album. Some clever lyricism and super-sharp guitar playing.
