Anyone seeing them this tour? I'm over to the Barrowlands in Glasgow next weekend to see the gorgeous Sharon warble her way over some heavy guitars and drums biggrin

(For those who don't know this Dutch "Symphonic Rock" band, here are a couple of YouTube vids - you might recognise "Memories" if you saw that Richard Burns tribute video :

Yep, seeing them at Brixton on Tuesday.

I saw them at the London Astoria earlier this year.

They are fantastic live smile

I'm still wondering how to shave my head biggrin I generally keep it shorn with a razor, but I've not shaved it for a few weeks. I'm tempted to shave it in a pattern for next weekend biggrin I'll be wearing a "posh goth" get up (ie a suit) so what the hell biggrin

Haven't heard a great deal by them really, but I'm a big fan of 'Stand My Ground', it's a great driving songmusic

I,ll be there too. I would say 'I,ll see you there', but I don't think that's very likely in a full hall !

I,ll be stopping down in the 'smoke' for the night (near Kings Cross) so will be down about 4.00 ish in the afternoon. If you fancy meeting up for a pre gig pint drop me a line.

I'll be down there as well, will have a walk over from the offices at tower bridge, meet the g/f and a few mates at waterloo, then try and make our way over to the gig. Would be good to meet up with others, but no doubt it'll be a little hectic.

Also, theres word that the local tube station may be out of comission. not good.

The support band is 69 eyes .... had a listen to some of their stuff on myspace, they sound okay.

Can't wait for lacuna coil to grace our shores again, much prefer them to Within Temptation (noooo, nothing to do with Cristina Scabbia being hotter though wink

I think Lacuna Coil do the heavier better and Within Temptation do the more symphonic tracks better. Never seen either live although I was tempted to go the the WT gig in question.

Thats pretty accurate, although I heard an alternative version of WTs What Have you Done, instead of the synth/orchestral intro, it was all guitars instead. Made it sound a lot darker, very cool.

Will have to make sure I've got plenty of space on the phones memory card for the show tomorrow night.

I enjoy the track entitled "The Howling" but that might be partially to do with having an eye for Sharon Den Adel who looks devine in that video lick

She does look pretty good in it, but if you haven't, check out Lacuna Coil ... Cristina Scabbia (not the best surname). Almost too hot!

Well looking forward to this show. Had it planned the week before the tickets went on sale.

That was a pretty darned good show, Sharons performance was absolutely flawless.

Was very surprised by the sound at the Brixton Academy, loud, clear, very, very good.

Wow, what a gig !! Totally agree re Brixton, excellent venue. Didn't think much to the support, not really my scene at all but WT definately made up for it.

69 eyes were okay, but WT. Wow.

Its silly to ask now, but whereabouts were you in there? I was right at the back, to the left of the bar, spending a fair bit of time with some of the girlfriends mates getting her very embarrassed.

I was down towards the front about 20ft or so back from the stage centre. Really is a cracking venue. The sloping floor means theres a good view of the stage from virtually everywhere, but my bl**dy legs and knees ached by the end of the gig (maybe that's just because I,m and old git though !!)

They were just as good as they were last time smile

A slightly different set list aswell, to what they did in April.

They did some more of their older stuff this time and a few of the ones of The Heart of Everything which they didn't do earlier in the year.

Same set and costumes for me tonight in Glasgow.

Absolutely top drawer - fantastic gig biggrin Best I've been to in a long, long time.

And boy can she nail those notes thumbup

(not to mention being utterly gorgeous to boot - and she can work the crowd well too, great at making you feel she's singing for you personally)
