I'm listening to Violator, IMO the best album they made. Mind you Songs of Faith and Devotion is also bloody brilliant.

Who else likes DM, or similar?

And yes I'm bored.

I also love 'Violator' - need to dig it out for the car this week.

I also have a live album of their's from quite early on, can't remember the name but I think it's from the Pasadena Rose Bowl, it's very good.

Only just caught up on this thread....

I have to agree.... Violator is a superb album. Went to see Depeche Mode at Wembley Arena for the Violator tour. The live rendition of "Personal Jesus" with the accompanying light show was truly awesome.

Sasha and Digweed's version of that is epic.

In fact, I'm going to get myself a bit of that action right now.

I'd strongly recommend the 'Touring The Angel' & 'Devotional' DVD's if you were thinking of live stuff in ya living room smile

Stripped is one of my favourite tunes of all time and that version is blummin' awful!!

The video's very homo-erotic though smile

I love the acoustic version of 'Personal Jesus', other than that they do nothing for me, I'm afraid.

Just prompted me to play the same...absolutely fantastic (better, even, than Cash's cover wink )

DM rock! Enjoy the silence was the first tune I head from them. The first tune I bought was 'It's no good' so missed the earlier stuff. Upon watching/listening to their videos DVD I found I liked their older stuff, yeah that Stripped is cool. The video is excellent, probably the best one, with some great ideas, smashing the car in time to the beat and some smoke and mirror projection stuff - nice. Martin Gore's hair is a bit wooly to say the least!
I like the Danny Tenaglia mix of 'I feel loved'.
