The Twang

Well I think they're bloody brilliant. Their stuff seems to have elements of lots of styles (if you catch my drift!) and I think they're album is excellent. Seeing them at Loughborough Uni on 18th and expect them to be great live.. Think they'll do well..

Anyone else like them?

They sound pretty great really. I don't like bands that try to fit a fashion or a style of music and rely on hype and photoshoots, thinking they're something they're not i.e. skinny jeans Jonny Borrell trying to be Bob Geldof, pants lyrics about 'watching America'. The Twang are not one of those, they don't seem to be tied to one type of music, with some great melodies and a diverse list of influences, singing about real stuff and not trying to create 'anthems'. I don't even know what the Twang look like and that goes to show they're more musical substance than marketing shite!
