So, anyone got their copy yet? I'm still waiting for my code / link, but I@m sure it'll come today (I shouldn't really download it at work anyway).

Any first thoughts those who've listened?

I'll get it at some point today I expect.

But I am expecting 'More songs from inside the colon' to be honest.

Waiting for a decent quality CD smile. Doesn't mean I won't be listening on my phone whilst I wait though!! smile I'll have to wait till I get home on Friday to download.. I just need to decide what tp pay, given that what I really want is a CD to put in my hi-fi. I love buying a new album, rushing home, opening a beer and listening to the whole thing on my hi-fi, but thanks to Radiohead this album will have to be different..

It's 160Kbps MP3. Sound quality is pretty good.

First two tracks wouldn't be lost on Amnesiac / Hail To The Thief / The Eraser. The rest is much more chilled, real instruments (but still with a twist in the production).

Only played it once, but liking it a LOT from track 3 onwards biggrin

It's really chillout/ambient tho, and continues that way to the end.

Sounds good yes

How big is each file? I don't know much about the Kbps of my various MP3s, but as a rough guide I do know that at around 1Mb a minute they're pretty poor, but up at around 2-3Mb a minute they sound decent.

Cool. That'll do. I hope I can download it! Our internet connection back home doesn't often stay up long enough to download a 45Mb file. I won't give up till I've got it though! smile can't wait till Friday smile

Cool. Can you reccomend one? I do have Mozilla installed, although I prefer IE I use it to download and save You Tube vids. Will that stop and start downloads?

smile That's a common opinion about any band that someone's not into. I think all Justin Timberlake songs sound the same smile

Er, try getright or something. I'm sure if you go to Firefox and look at the addons there will be one.
Otherwise, try Google and Tucows wink

I did have GetRight once, but I'm sure I had problems with it so had to un-install it. I'll experiment again thanks smile What I really should do is just wire into my router. It's not the web connection that's going, it's my wireless connection.

Sorry for the digression - as you were!

It's all pretty distorted anyway tbh laugh

I'm assuming there will be a full CD release which doesn't require splashing £40 on the box set...

It's 10 x 160Kbps tracks, on a 48Mb zip file, so the email yesterday said. Still not got a link to download it though.
