I've started learning electric guitar and have bought a used Fender Strat. I was told that I may need to get it set up by someone. What does this involve and how much? It's a 1990 USA strat if that makes any difference.
Give Sound Control on Regent Road a bell - they used to have an in house techy for setups etc. I'd imagine the cost would be in the tens of pounds, assuming there's nothing actually wrong with your strat, that'd need rectifying.
If you log on to the Fender site, full set-up instructions are given. If you have a digital tuner, a tape measure and some feeler gauges, its fairly straightforward and gives you a bit more "ownership"
