Are The Clash currently the coolest retro band ?

Hardfi, and particularly on Suburban Knights, want to be The Clash so bad.

M.I.A has sampled Straight to Hell.

And yesterday I heard Lethal Bizzle (?) doing a version of Police On My Back.

Sure there are others who either sound like, or sample, The Clash at the moment ?

Joe Strummer is second in line to the throne after Mr.Weller in my eyes.

Hard Fi are also a very very good band.

Our youth and myself thought they were the coolest first time round , which dates me badly. Hard - fi? I dunno about them. Not convinced. Think they want to be the voice of the bored 17+ somethings of today. Which sounds like an attempt at The Jam. Forget it
