I'd also go with Live after Death, but would also add Live & Dangerous by Lizzy

yes A good choice, especially side 4, which I played so much in the days before CD players that the needle ended up skipping across it.

I'll add:
Real to Reel - Marillion, has an excellent "Forgotten Sons"
Ricochet, Encore, Pergamon and Logos by Tangerine Dream.
Siren and Ether by Redshift (who no one else will have heard of)

Actually Marillion's La Gazza Ladra's worth a mention

My 2 favourite live albums of the day:

Rage Against the Machine: Live at the Grand Olympic Auditorium - my fave live rock album ever.

and

Keith Jarrett/Dave Holland/Jack De Johnette: Whisper Not, Live in Paris 1999 - absolutely totally, sublimely perfect jazz trio playing.

Was listening to that last night, the full lenght live solo at the end of Comfortably Numb is close to perfection.

Our Live Album Is Better Than Your Live Album by Reel Big Fish is worth a look too smile

Deep Purple - Made In Japan - simply superb (even though Mr Gillan was never happy with his vocal performance)
UFO - Strangers in the Night
Thin Lizzy - Live and Dangerous (though a lot was redone in the studio afterwards)
Rainbow - On Stage (again a lot of fiddling about afterwards)
Led Zeppelin - BBC Sessions - early stuff great
Led Zeppelin - How The West Was Won - top act at their prime

Oh - Walk On Water too!

UFO also played some tracks with Uli Jon Roth at Donnington and feature on his cheesey but superb, immaginatively titled "Live at Castle Donnington" album.
